7 LEADING CAUSES OF HASHIMOTO’S, HYPOTHYROIDISM & HYPERTHYROIDISM YOUR DOCTOR WON’T TELL YOU ABOUT

Hashimoto’s thyroiditis affects 14 million people in the United States, hyperthyroidism – roughly 3 million, and hypothyroidism adds nearly 30 million more to this number. I used to be one of these people.

The sad part is that most of these people will never experience what I did and my clients do on an everyday basis – a full reversal of these conditions and the debilitating symptoms they cause.

Symptoms such as brain fog, chronic fatigue, hair loss, weight gain, extreme weight loss, anxiety, depression, joint pain, dizziness, forgetfulness, skins disorders, and infertility are just a few on the list.

These and other symptoms can be so severe that those affected by them, lose their jobs, their relationships, dragging through the lives they worked so hard to create, and even lose themselves to these conditions.

Yet, as advanced as the medical industry claims to be, it offers NO CURE for these conditions.

Imagine hearing this from your doctor, as millions of us did, “Your illness cannot be reversed. Get used to the new normal.” And this new normal is nothing short of living in hell. Helplessness, anxiety, depression, the fear of not having a future or that baby you want; the loneliness of feeling forgotten by your doctors, your friends, and even your partner; your withdrawal from society because you are barely living from moment to moment are not the new normal we want to subscribe to.

The same doctors tell us that the only way to improve our condition, the very condition they cannot cure, is through medications, such as Synthroid and Levothyroxin, that suppress our thyroid gland function even more, or, if you go the “natural” route, Armour, Naturethroid, WP Thyroid, which are not much better or different.

Levothyroxine, for example, can cause over 65 side effects, ranging from mild to severe. Here are just a few:

  • feeling tired
  • weight gain
  • hair loss
  • muscle cramps
  • constipation
  • heart problems
  • heart failure
  • headaches
  • depression
  • anxiety
  • fainting
  • difficulty swallowing
  • dizziness, and more.

Doesn’t seem like it gives much help to those who already have a laundry list of symptoms due to hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s, does it? Yet medication is the first line of defense to combat these “incurable” illnesses, followed only by radiation and surgery. Neither is a healthy alternative unless it is the very last resort to save a life.

Now, why is it, that as advanced as the medical industry is, they cannot get their act together to help nearly 50 million people?

To be frank, it is because the industry is NOT interested in finding the CURE, or the ROOT CAUSE of these, or any other health conditions. Here is the biggest reason…

If they did, they could easily address them, which would mean, less money for the industry. And as we all know, they are not planning to work themselves out of business anytime soon.

I know, I know, you might have been led to believe that they care about you because there is always some kind of fundraiser to fund research to find the cure for one illness or another – the busy-body facade of the industry. Yet, decades into their Herculean efforts, they are no closer to finding the cure! (Imagine if any other industry kept taking billions of your dollars and never delivered a result! You would be crying WOLF by now. But, the medical industry does a good job at gaslighting us to keep us believing that not having results is equivalent to being hard at work to get results. But I digress!)

Over 15 years ago, having spent tens of thousands of dollars on chasing MY cure, I had to step outside the shadow of this corporate brainwashing, to find my solution. (BTW, do you know that even though I fully cured myself and have shown others how they can do it, I, and anyone outside of the allopathic industry, are banned from using the terminology “cure” or “heal”? The medical industry successfully suppressed our freedom of thought and speech!)

I am so happy that I did! I had reversed hypothyroidism (see, I cannot even say I healed it! Hmmmm…), infertility, and pituitary tumor diagnosis. And here’s what I found…

That unless we uncover the ROOT CAUSES of hypothyroidism, Hashimoto’s, hyperthyroidism, and any other thyroid, hormone, autoimmune or chronic condition, all efforts we make are in vain! It’s like putting a BandAid over an open heart surgery.

And for the last 15 years, I have been collecting and compiling a list of Hashimoto’s, Hypothyroidism, Grave’s Disease, Hyperthyroidism, Thyroid Eye Disease, PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome), endometriosis, infertility, etc. root causes.

As of today, there are over 25 on my list!

Today, I want to give you 7 of them.

7 LEADING CAUSES OF HASHIMOTO’S, HYPOTHYROIDISM & HYPERTHYROIDISM YOUR DOCTOR WON’T TELL YOU ABOUT

Coming at the top of my list…

#1 Trauma – a Root Cause of Hyper- & Hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s

A little-known fact to most is that turbulent emotions, chronic stress, physical, psychological, and sexual trauma, including childhood trauma, are the pack leaders of autoimmune disorders’ root causes.

When we experience trauma, our body goes into fight, flight, freeze, or fawn mode. This is a natural response that helps us protect ourselves from danger. However, when this mode is activated repeatedly or for a long period of time, it leads to chronic stress. Chronic stress depletes our mineral and vitamin storage, overtaxes our adrenals, creates gut imbalance (more on this later), and damages our immune system.

When you are chronically stressed from trauma, your body attacks itself, which leads to the development of autoimmune diseases, including, but not limited to Hashimoto’s, Grave’s Disease, MS, lupus, Sjogren’s, and many others. The same leads to an overall hormonal imbalance that creates other illnesses (which are really symptoms), such as endometriosis, PCOS, estrogen dominance, etc.

For example, studies have shown that even something seemingly as benign as being in a poor emotional relationship can make you sick. (BTW, it is not benign at all!) The person who suppresses her/his emotions and needs in the relationship for the sake of their partner or to “make the marriage work” is more likely to develop physical illnesses, including autoimmune disorders and cancers among women.

It is not surprising then that women are 10 times more likely to develop Hashimoto’s than men because they, for the most part, do all the sacrificing, giving and suppressing their needs in relationships.

And it is not surprising that when my clients reclaim their voice, their power, and put themselves first, their symptoms begin to dissipate.

#2 Nutrient Poor Diet is a Leading Cause of Hypothyroidism, Hashimoto’s & Hyperthyroidism

A poor diet is another leading cause of Hashimoto’s, hypothyroidism, and other thyroid and hormone-related problems.

When our bodies are not getting the nutrients they need, they start to malfunction. Standard American Diet (SAD), Keto, Paleo, and most fad diets lack nutrients necessary to reduce nutritional stress, restore gut balance, and replenish mineral and vitamin storage in the body.

Such diets create inflammation, which taxes our adrenals, creates gut dysbiosis, and over time leads to the development of hormone, thyroid, and autoimmune conditions.

Too much protein, for example, will lead to toxicity and create an acidic environment in the body.

When the body has too much protein and not enough complex carbohydrates, it cannot function. So, it will have to convert protein into a carb-like substance.

This process throws off too much nitrogen, ammonia, uric acid, and urea, which are the end products of protein metabolism. In high amounts, these are toxic to the body and affect the kidneys and liver. This creates an acidic environment in the body, which your immune system perceives as a threat. To protect itself, your immune system starts to attack healthy cells and tissues, leading to the development of thyroid and autoimmune conditions, including hyperthyroidism, Hashimoto’s, and hypothyroidism.

Furthermore, studies show that excess dietary fat intake may be a detrimental factor in the development of thyroid dysfunction.

So, while you might have tried to improve your thyroid condition by following a high fat or a high protein diet, you might have done more damage to your body than helped it.

#3 Gut Imbalance – a Huge Contributor to the Development of Hyperthyroidism, Hypothyroidism, and Hashimoto’s

Another root cause of thyroid disorders is poor gut health. More than 70% of our immune system is located in our gut, so when it is not healthy, the rest of our body becomes unhealthy too.

A healthy gut teems with bacteria – both good and bad. When the bad bacteria outnumber the good, it creates an imbalance in the gut, also called gut dysbiosis. This imbalance leads to inflammation in the body and eventually to the development of autoimmune conditions, including Hashimoto’s, hyperthyroidism, and hypothyroidism because there is a direct link between gut and thyroid health. After all, a healthy gut can absorb nutrients, minerals, and vitamins from the food sources you consume and use them to fun a clean operation in your body, while an unhealthy gut cannot, thus creating deficiencies of minerals and vitamins needed to run your thyroid function successfully.

The main reasons for gut dysbiosis are poor diet, trauma, chronic stress, lack of sleep, toxins, and medications, including antibiotics, NSAIDs, antidepressants, and most other long-term medications.

#4 Mineral & Vitamin Deficiencies – a Leading Cause of Hyperthyroidism, Hypothyroidism, and Hashimoto’s

Now that you see how gut health and diet affect our thyroid and hormone health, it is time to talk about deficiencies that are created by poor diet and poor gut health.

Some of the most common deficiencies that contribute to hypothyroidism, Hashimoto’s, and hyperthyroidism are magnesium, zinc, selenium, iodine (but too much of it can lead to these very conditions), and B12.

Magnesium is involved in over 300 biochemical reactions in the body and is needed for the conversion of T4 to T3. Zinc is needed for the production of thyroid hormones and is also important for a healthy immune system.

Selenium is necessary for the conversion of T4 to T3 and is also an antioxidant that protects cells from damage.

Iodine is an essential mineral for the production of thyroid hormones.

Here’s the catch, however, you, and many others who suffer from thyroid conditions, often mistakenly believe that supplementing with these vitamins and minerals is your path to health. However, nothing can be further from the truth!

When, rather than fixing your diet, resolving trauma, stress, getting more sleep, and changing the stressful lifestyle that caused your illness, you go to supplements, you can do more harm than good.

Most supplements, just like medications, are made with synthetic ingredients. Over time, this translates to toxicity. And toxicity equals inflammation.

All supplements come in concentrated forms and most, as isolates. Your body did not evolve (or was created) to function off isolates. It was designed to extract what it needs from whole food sources.

So, too much of a supposedly good thing is NOT good for the body!

For example, taking iodine can lead to the development of hyperthyroidism, Grave’s Disease, goiters, hypothyroidism, and Hashimoto’s – the very illnesses you are trying to reverse.

Too much vitamin D will lead to high blood levels of calcium. This can lead to kidney problems, including kidney stones. Other side effects include chest pain, shortness of breath, growth problems in children, weakness, hardening of the arteries, weight loss, muscle or bone pain, vomiting, constipation, thirst, etc. Yet, most holistic practitioners insist on their thyroid patients taking copious amounts of vitamin D.

The best way way to address such deficiencies is NOT through supplementing! In fact, most of my clients do not take more than 3-4 absolutely necessary supplements, specific to THEIR situation, to address deficiencies that cause PCOS, endometriosis, thyroid, and other conditions. The best way to address deficiencies is to address the ROOT CAUSES that cause them.

#5 Genetic Mutations – the Hidden Dangerous Root Cause of Hashimoto’s, Hypothyroidism & Hyperthyroidism

When it comes to understanding the root cause of Hashimoto’s, hypothyroidism, and hyperthyroidism, genetics is one of the most important pieces of the puzzle.

However, most doctors do not test for genetic mutations! They simply do not know that they should!

Yet, genetic mutations, including one known as MTHFR, are one of the leading causes of Hashimoto’s, hypothyroidism, and hyperthyroidism.

MTHFR (methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase) is a gene that helps produce the enzyme methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase. This enzyme is important in the chemical reactions that convert food into energy and help build DNA.

When this gene mutates, it can lead to problems in the body converting food into energy. It also causes a build-up of toxins, which in turn, leads to the breakdown of your immune system.

But that’s not all. This mutation can lead to an increased risk for:

  • hypothyroidism
  • Hashimoto’s
  • hyperthyroidism
  • heart disease
  • Alzheimer’s
  • cancer
  • neurological and mood disorders, and even
  • infertility, and much more.

There are several variants of MTHFR mutation, ranging from benign to severely dangerous. Without a proper diagnosis and an appropriate protocol to address it, the mutation can cause mild to severe side effects.

# 6 Toxins – a Ruthless Root Cause of Hormone & Thyroid Disorders

Now that you understand how toxins can dangerously accumulate in people with a genetic mutation, it is important to understand that they can accumulate in all of us. They gather in our systems from the use of personal care products, the air we breathe (think of pollution and the chemtrails!), the water we drink (which is teeming with dangerous bacteria and meds that have been flushed down the drain), the food we eat, plastic containers we store our food in and use to drink from, electromagnetic frequencies (EMFs) from technology (smartphones, laptops, Wi-Fi routers, etc.), pesticides and herbicides in our food, and even the medications we take.

Toxins disrupt the endocrine system and lead to hormone imbalances and thyroid disorders, and other health conditions.

But it’s not just the accumulation of toxins that is the problem. It’s also the way our body reacts to them.

The liver, for example, is responsible for detoxifying the body of toxins. But when it is overburdened and can’t keep up, the toxins are stored in our cells, leading to even more health problems.

#7 Beauty Treatments & Implants – the Biggest Disruptors of Thyroid & Hormone Health

While I have nearly 20 more root causes to discuss, I want to complete today’s list with the one that so many women do not want to think about…

Beauty treatments & procedures.

There, the cat is out of the bag!

Ageless beauty comes with a hefty price tag.

On numerous occasions, I had clients who admittedly could trace the onset of their symptoms to the beginning of their use of beauty treatments. Everything from botox to implants. Breast implants, in particular, have been linked to autoimmune diseases, including Hashimoto’s, MS, lupus, CFS, and more.

And what can we expect when we inject industrial-grade toxins into our bodies? They sit in us for months and even years.

At first, the body goes to work to do the cleanup, to detox these poisons from our bodies, but because injectables last for months and implants for a lifetime, after a while, having failed at the cleanup duty, the body begins to break down and even turn on itself.

Beauty treatments and implants disrupt the delicate balance of our hormones and thyroid. Because of the toxic buildup, they cause inflammation – the leading cause of all leading causes of hormone, thyroid, and autoimmune disorders.

Want a real-life example? Let’s keep up with the Kardashians, shall we? Here’s a list of some of the health problems the leading Kardashian, Kim, has had to deal with while in the public eye:

  • psoriasis
  • preeclampsia
  • testing positive for lupus and rheumatoid arthritis antibodies

When she found out about the latter, admittedly, she freaked out, and rightfully so. Unless her injections are dissolved and implants, if she has any, are removed, we can expect that her health will keep deteriorating.

Did you know that there is now an official term for symptoms caused by breast implants? It is knowns as “breast implant illness” (BII).

Breast implant illness is a term used to describe a wide range of symptoms that women with breast implants experience. These symptoms include but are not limited to, cognitive dysfunction, joint pain, muscle pain, skin problems, hair loss, chronic fatigue, headaches, breathing difficulties, skin rashes, dry mouth and eyes, poor concentration, depression, insomnia, anxiety, and autoimmune diseases, among many others.

While the beauty industry had vehemently denied the validity of BII diagnoses, in the last few years it finally caved and admitted it.

BOTTOM LINE

The bottom line is this: if you are experiencing any of the symptoms associated with hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, hormone, and autoimmune disorders, or Hashimoto’s, it is time to take a good hard look at your diet, lifestyle, and beauty treatments and procedures, while also addressing other root causes of these disorders.
